***Responsibilities and Duties

The Data Modeller will be:

- Analysing and translating business metrics and measures to develop technical design artefacts and standards-based data models that support long-term solutions.
- You will be working with the Data team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
- You will also be creating logical data models and providing guides on physical data models to developers, using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
- You will be helping develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
- You will query and interpret data using efficient and effective SQL and provide sound advice on complex data/information related matters to deliver quality solutions.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven experience in Data Modelling, structured analysis, dimensional data modelling, data vault, or 3NF
- Strong understanding of traditional / modern BI / DW, ETL and metadata concepts
- Experience in data analysis, data profiling, data mapping documentation, design and querying languages including SQL or similar
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams at an Enterprise scale
- Knowledgeable of Cloud Snowflake data warehouse or similar cloud data warehouse service
- Experience with Agile / SCRUM development methodologies
