**In this role, you'll**:
The two roles are part of a team delivering the Digital Systems Program - a major transformation implementing European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 across the NSW rail network, impacting Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink.

As a Learning Design Specialist in the Digital Systems Program, you will research, write, and design high-quality, engaging learning products to support the successful implementation of ETCS. You’ll work on a wide range of technical and operational learning solutions targeting Train Crew, Engineers, Maintainers, and Rail Operations experts, while also developing training around new business processes and supporting change adoption across the workforce.
- work in an Agile environment to design and deliver blended learning solutions, including facilitated classroom training, interactive self-paced eLearning, as well as technology-enhanced experiences.
- design, write, and build innovative and practical learning solutions that support behavioural and technical change in a complex, safety-critical environment—balancing consistency, customisation, compliance, and user engagement in a rapidly evolving program context.
- work closely with Subject Matter Experts, project teams, and operational stakeholders to identify learning objectives and translate complex technical content into clear, learner-friendly materials that meet both regulatory and client-specific requirements.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- be an experienced (3+ years) instructional designer and content developer across industries such as transport, safety, infrastructure, or regulated environments
- have demonstrated ability to translate technical content into high-impact, learner-focused training that meets the needs of diverse learners, while aligning to strict safety and compliance standards
- be recognised as a trusted collaborator and creative problem-solver, skilled at designing modern, blended learning solutions with a high attention to detail
- advanced skills in MS Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint), Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), and video editing software (Vyond or similar)
- ideally have experience working to VET accredited standards and holding a Certificate IV TAE (or above)
