Learning Design Manager

The Property Council of Australia is the champion of Australia's largest industry that
employs 1.4 million Australians and shapes the future of our cities. Our members include

as well as providers of professional services to the industry.

Position Purpose

The Bespoke Learning Design Manager drives the growth and impact of the Property
Council Academy by combining commercial acumen with advanced learning design
expertise.
Working at the intersection of business development and instructional design, the
Bespoke Learning Design Manager identifies new opportunities, manages client
engagements, and oversees program lifecycles—from initial needs analysis to post-delivery evaluation.

The role is accountable for:

1. Driving commercial learning sales through referrals, lead generation, and new
   business acquisition.

2. Developing bespoke learning programs tailored to the specific needs of Property
   Council members and clients.

3. Designing structured learning pathways that support member career
   development and align with the Academy's strategic objectives.

Success in this role is measured by increased commercial outcomes, high-quality learning
experiences, and the creation of pathways that position the Property Council Academy as
the leading provider of tailored education solutions for the property sector.

Key responsibilities include

• Identify, qualify, and secure new business
  opportunities through CRM, proactive
  networking, referrals, and market
  engagement.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to
  achieve revenue targets for bespoke learning
  programs.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of customised
  training programs, from needs analysis and
  proposal development to design, delivery, and
  evaluation for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts,
  facilitators, members or clients and internal
  teams to ensure content is relevant,
  innovative, and tailored to client
  requirements.
• Manage program logistics, budgets, and
  timelines to deliver high-quality learning
  experiences.
• Develop structured learning pathways that
  cater to diverse member career stages,
  industry trends, and competency
  requirements.
• Provide strong leadership, coaching, and
  mentorship to the Learning Coordinator
  (Bespoke) and Learning Specialist (Public).

The ideal candidate will have

• Strong experience in the training, education, consulting or professional services sector.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver bespoke learning and development solutions
  tailored to specific organisational needs.
• Demonstrated commercial management experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Learning needs analysis capability required to account for different capability levels across
  multiple property sectors and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with learning technologies and online delivery platforms.
• Desirable
  Knowledge of the property industry or related sectors.
