The Boeing Test Facility (BTF), located in Wacol just 25 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD hosts the capability for an accredited, independent scope of Electromagnetic Emissions and Mechanical/Environmental component testing. The Boeing Test Facility was established to support the test requirements of the Currawong Land2072 Ph2B project but it is beginning to enter an exciting new stage of growth. Our suite of spacious modern chambers offers our clients the opportunity to test components at every stage of their lifecycle - our contribution to increased reliability, faster design cycles and better overall product outcomes.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an extremely motivated and hands-on Test and Evaluation Technician to join our team (focused primarily on the Mechanical/Environmental testing scope). Your role will be based full-time at the facility in Wacol and will sit within the newly created Product Testing and Integration Capability team.
About you
- Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of your role
- Proactive with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Willing to be flexible with types of tasks completed - versatile and engaged
- Demonstrate technical excellence through adherence to policies and procedures

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine mechanical/environmental testing and document results
- Perform test equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration and/or assist with external contractors
- Support the coordination of test requirements including fabrication and assembly of test fixtures and systems

Experience/Qualifications
- Mechanical or trades qualifications and experience (mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, avionics)
- Prior experience working underneath an Australian Standard
- Forklift license
- Restricted electrical or open cabling license
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
