
Records Officer

**Key responsibilities**:
- Provide an efficient and quality records management service to our clients by performing tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
- Provide advice and support to all staff regarding records management in accordance with departmental recordkeeping policies and standards
- Contribute to the identification and development of plans of activities, processes and procedures for document and records management services and projects
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements to business processes relating to the operations of the Records Management team which support the delivery of document and records management services
- Consult and liaise with staff on records management issues by responding to enquiries and conveying helpful information
- Develop and maintain working relationships with all staff within the direct team as well as other staff members within the larger team of the Service Delivery Management branch.
- Provide advice to the Team Leader on the status of own work including project support activities
- Prioritise own workload to ensure task deadlines are met within established timeframes and escalate where necessary
- Collaborate in a positive team environment that provides quality records management by working within an innovative and versatile team culture.
This position reports to the Team Leader within the Records Management Team, and has 6 direct reports.
