**The role**

We have an opportunity for an experienced Risk and Compliance professional to join our Growth team as the Head of Risk and Compliance, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer. You will have a seat at the table to help transform our Risk and Compliance strategy and capability for the Sportsbet Growth division.

You’ll partner with a wide range of leaders and operational teams and stakeholders across Sportsbet, to uplift the Growth division's Risk and Compliance capability, including R&C planning, risk and compliance program management, training, development and culture.

It’s a hands-on role, where you have the opportunity to define and execute a program of work to improve our capabilities, build culture and ep our teams innovate for our customers in a safe and sustainable way.

**Key responsibilities**:
**Risk and Compliance Culture**:

- Lead the uplift in Risk and Compliance Culture across Growth
- Our teams will benefit from understanding their risk and compliance obligations, and trust the processes and policies in place to execute their roles - but importantly - recognise that developing an understanding of how to manage risk and compliance is integral to continuing to innovate for our customers.

**Risk and Compliance Uplift program**
- Establish and lead a cross-functional program of work to uplift our technology, process and policies associated with improving our Line 1 Risk and Compliance capabilities.

**Risk and Compliance Management**:

- Working with the centralised Sportsbet Risk ad Compliance team, responsible for the implementation of a risk-based assurance monitoring program.
- Assist in the compliance risk assessment process ensuring that all compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, reported and monitored
- Maintain a good understanding of the relevant regulatory and non-regulatory requirements and provide advice and guidance to the Growth departments.
- Develop and implement ongoing monitoring procedures within the Compliance Management remit including obligations, policies and other matters that arise.

**Governance and reporting**
- Establish a framework and operating rhythm for Risk and Compliance oversight for the Growth division, including assurance reporting, risk approval oversight and decision-making associated with the R&C uplift program.
- Oversee risk and compliance breach reporting and investigations and play a key role in supporting audits

**People Leadership**:

- Manage a team of up to three who look after Growth’s Risk profile and Compliance Obligations
- Develop a high-performing Line 1 function and influence the Growth Department business to reflect a high awareness and embeddedness of Compliance
- Develop the team members and the team as the Line 1 function continues to mature
- Act as a representative in relevant forums within Growth and Sportsbet in relation to Compliance matters, with accountability for presenting back material messaging to Sportsbet stakeholders and the Legal, R&C and External Affairs teams
