Complaints handling officer | State Government | VPS 3 | 6 months temp assignment
**Your new company**
This position will see you working within a State Government department, based in Melbourne's CBD. You will be working with a well-established public sector team that is responsible for assessing all incoming enquiries and complaints.

**Your new role**
In this role, you will be responsible for handling enquiries and resolving complaints by providing accurate and relevant information and advice to enquirers. In addition, you will:

- Liaise with complainants to review material and documentation, with a view to assessing and quickly resolving complaints
- Prepare reports, recommendations and associated correspondence on complex issues, and maintain records
- Refer complaints for investigation where informal dispute resolution fails

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered you will have:

- Previous experience in a complaint handling role.
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- A tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded but not essential
