**About the Commission**
**The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission)** is an independent statutory body with responsibilities under Victoria's key human rights laws - the _Equal Opportunity Act 2010_, the _Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001_, the _Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006_ and the _Change and Suppression Practice Prohibition Act 2021. _

**About the Role**
The Enquiry Officer role sits within the Enquiry Service and is supported by the Senior Advisor Dispute Resolution and Enquiries. The Enquiry Officer is required to respond to the needs of a diverse range of people who contact the Commission and provide a service which is timely, trauma informed, inclusive and culturally safe.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Prior experience providing timely responses to a diverse range of people by communicating effectively on complex and sensitive matters in a way that is responsive and inclusive of their needs and backgrounds.
- Ability to manage high volumes of work, setting priorities and maintain the quality with good record-keeping and attention-to-detail.
- Demonstrated experience in reporting emerging, systemic issues and to identify the need to escalate matters where appropriate.
- Support the public to formulate their complaints by ensuring inclusivity and accessibility towards vulnerable individuals to partake in the dispute resolution process.
