- Permanent Full Time
- $142,219pa + super (up to 12%)
- Note, this rate is inclusive of a 10% above EBA payment allowance in recognition of any additional overtime, external market remuneration conditions and Council’s operational requirements of this position.
- Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 8.5+10% of the MBRC EBA4 Certified Agreement
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
- Location: Strathpine

**About our opportunity**

Our community engagement team has an exciting opportunity for a high level, experienced engagement expert. We are looking for someone to join our team who is innovative, motivated, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment with passionate specialist teams.

As one of our Principal Community Engagement Officers, you will play an essential role in determining engagement needs in collaboration with teams from across Council to inform Council decision making. You will partner with council teams, including Corporate Communications, to design and deliver communication and engagement plans to a very high standard.

Acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders you’ll identify key risks and opportunities and bring ideas to encourage participation. You’ll guide digital and traditional content and coordinate content requirements to support identified engagement needs.

You will work with a great team who is dedicated to drive high standards of engagement through evidence-based planning, implementing, and reporting. You will mentor and assist junior members of the team and help build engagement capacity across the organisation where required.

**About you**

Excited by Community Engagement you will bring your extensive experience in the delivery of community engagement projects and activities. Your love for project management, ability to agilely manage competing priorities, focus on meeting critical deadlines and passion for building strong relationships all within a rapidly changing environment are a must.

As a natural collaborator, you’ll have excellent liaison skills and an ability to innately understand stakeholder requirements to inform strategic pathways for engagement activities and the development of digital identity tools. You’ll be ready to manage a high level of excitement and desire across the organisation to engage and to engage well.

In addition, you will bring:

- High level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop quality content (both traditional and digital) to meet the need of a range of audiences.
- Comprehensive experience in developing key messages and collateral such as such as marketing materials, business cards and other promotional items.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, including conducting research through community consultation.
- Ability and willingness to work occasionally outside normal working hours, including weekends as required.
