**About this opportunity**

Reporting to our Director, Tram Services you will be a passionate and energetic leader responsible for creating great journeys that connect people and communities across Melbourne safely. As Manager, Lines you will:

- ‘Walk the talk’ and demonstrate our values in everything you do
- Live and breathe our Safety-First culture - keeping safety front of mind at all times;
- Support a collaborative leadership team lead and manage our team of dedicated Tram Drivers.
- Make sure our trams are where they need to be, when they need to be - just as we promised.
- Engage with key stakeholders across our organisation to ensure we deliver a great passenger experience every time.
- Encourage a continuous improvement mindset amongst your team and championing change in the areas of service performance, productivity and efficiency
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to enable data-driven decisions
- Deliver the MR5 franchise maintaining operational performance and sustainable financial results.
- Imagine the possibilities with a curious mindset

**About you**

Ideally you will:

- Have managed a large industrialised frontline workforce and have a track record of developing and leading high performing teams
- Be resilient and thrive in complex and ever-changing operational environments
- Be great at building relationships and influencing others
- Lead and motive the team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Have demonstrated experience in successfully developing and managing complex operational strategies and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
- Have a good understanding of business, financial, OH&S, legislative frameworks and Rail Safety obligations
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience in strategic planning and business development
