**About the role**

Do you have a passion for procurement and supply chain management?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our procurement team based out of our Wetherill Park Head Office.

As a Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating the supply of meat products and services by managing our procurement processes and supply chain activities. You will work closely with third-party suppliers and internal departments to ensure that goods are delivered on time and that we meet our operational goals.

Key tasks of this role include:

- Ensuring GMP and GHP are maintained when purchasing products for the BEC Group
- Sourcing and introducing new/alternative vendors
- Customer and supplier management
- Negotiating contracts, terms and pricing agreements with current and potential suppliers
- Monitoring and assessing supplier performance and managing any arising issues or discrepancies
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure seamless procurement processes
- Assisting the sales department in developing new products to grow current business
- Analysing market trends and identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation
- Sustainable procurement

**About you**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar procurement role
- Previous Meat Industry Experience
- Strategic thinking and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Sound organisation skills
- Proficient skills within all Microsoft Appliances
