Excellent opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager to join the corporate finance team, responsible for Managing the Office Services, Risk, Safety & nominated Capital Expenditure categories end-to-end, using established Procurement methodologies, Processes and Procedures to deliver sustainable cost reduction solutions, ensuring quality objectives are meet and optimum vendor relationships are established then maintained.

The Procurement Category Manager will develop and implement annual category plans by understanding business requirements, expiring agreements, profiling spend, cost, risk, competitive market conditions and identifying specific initiatives for delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders and Group Head Non-Trade Procurement.

This role will manage strategic vendor relationships, measuring performance to ensure value contracted is delivered and drive value above savings identified in strategic sourcing projects.

What you’ll do

Run the end/end process for Tenders (RFP, RFT, RFQ, benchmark) as determined within the annual Category Plan, obtain business requirement, write specifications and tender documents; and

Manage negotiations for contracts within your work plan to negotiate the best possible commercial outcome.

Develop recommendations on all negotiation outcomes, ensuring that appropriate accurate financial management structures have been considered and analysed and that the rating mechanism has appropriately considered all factors of relevance to the business at appropriate weightings

Ensure appropriate legal input to the tendering and contract process.

Provide advice and support to the business to monitor supplier performance and develop and implement a performance management plan where non-compliance to contracts as it occurs.

What you’ll bring

Prior experience with primary accountability for end-to-end Procurement processes, along with a proven track record of delivering sustainable cost savings (preferably within multiple categories).

Contract Management experience as well the ability to formulate contracts and schedules to contracts using the standard contract template agreements for goods and services.

Prior experience with detailed financial analysis while being commercially savvy, ensuring accuracy of financial analysis.

Tertiary and/or other relevant post-graduate qualifications - CIPS accreditation desirable
