**About us**
Road Safety Camera Program Unit (RSCP) within the Police, Fines and Crime Prevention Division is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Road Safety Camera (RSC) network (mobile and fixed), including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera service providers for camera certification, testing and maintenance. The Unit is also responsible for implementation of projects derived from road safety benefits in line with Victorian Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan 2021-2030.
**About the role**
The Technical Data Analyst role is within the Camera Compliance, Research and Development (CCRD) team. The team has the principal responsibility for camera compliance, quality assurance and performance monitoring of the Fixed and Mobile Road Safety Camera network for the management of infringements and related enforcement systems within the Road Policing Enforcement Division and the Fines and Enforcement Services contracts on behalf of the State.
**About you**
Some of the key technical expertise for this role may include:
- Strong and proven skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Well-developed skills in VBA or other relevant macro languages would be well regarded.
- Very good conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and problems, and the capabilities to address those by preparing assertive information sheets, reports, briefings, and correspondences.
- Abilities to work with data and information from different sources and different file types.
- Understand, and work with data models and associated business rules.
- Compare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual data to profile time-based activity/performance.
- Strong investigative skills and the capability to identify and address data quality gaps as well as to resolve complex technical and operational database problems.
Acting with attention to detail, the Technical Data Analyst operates in a technical as well quality assurance role and find pathways to deliver timely quality outcomes and reports to various stakeholders. This role requires individual working collaboratively within a team environment who easily adapt and can provide results on complex situations.
