Wollongong, Australia Steelers Club Full time

The role will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Licensed Club’s day-to-day activities.

The role will be classified as a Level C Manager under the Award, and will be paid 50% above the Award rate.

Key areas of accountability will be:

- Work Health and Safety
- Leadership, coaching, and management of the Team Leaders
- Managing allocated operational budgets
- Rostering
- Generating revenue via functions and managing bookings
- Oversight of food and beverage sales and initiatives
- Regulatory / legislative compliance.

The role will work two (2) operational Team Leader shifts on day work per week and three (3) office-based shifts. The role will also be available for key Club events.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Cert IV in Frontline Management or equivalent experience
- Exposure to higher-level leadership development preferred
- Hands-on leadership experience within a Licensed Club or hospitality venue (preferred)
- Experience coaching others to manage performance, both positive and negative
- An understanding of the industrial relations framework within which performance and conduct are managed
- Demonstrated ability to model and inspire a positive culture
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Responsible Service of Alcohol and Conduct of Gambling accreditations
- Extensive customer service focus and experience
- Experience dealing with suppliers and vendors, including monitoring and managing their performance to expectations
- Experience managing performance, via recognition, regular review, setting expectations, and effective handling of performance that is not meeting expectations
- Confident in the use of Information Technology and systems
- The ability to manage multiple (and sometimes competing) deadlines and priorities
- Experience in overseeing the work health and safety function is desirable.
