As part of the wider HR team, you will lead the Melbourne Early Careers recruitment for our Clerkship Programs. As most of our Melbourne graduates are selected from our clerkship program you will play a key role in attracting the future leaders of the firm

Role Detail
As part of the wider People & Development (P&D) team (nationally approx 80 people), you will have responsibility for the management of seasonal clerk recruitment and our wider program in the Melbourne Centre, reporting to the National Manager - Early Careers. Working closely with another Early Careers P&D Advisor and our Graduate Recruitment Committee, you will have the support of a wider team with the autonomy to drive the success of your own intake program.
Based in the Melbourne CBD office, your key responsibilities will include:
- Management of recruitment and selection approach and processes for clerkship positions in Melbourne
- Management of clerkship programs in Melbourne, working closely with partners and the broader People & Development team, including centre-related onboarding and learning and general support and guidance for clerkship
- Management of attraction and marketing strategies for early careers talent including building and maintaining strong relationships with universities and student groups and on-campus activities
- Administration and compliance activities relating to clerks
- Supporting and collaborating with P&D Advisor - Early Careers (Graduate Engagement)
- Collaboration on centre and national initiatives and projects
With the opportunity to be involved on national initiatives and projects aligned to our national strategy for early career attraction and recruitment, you will get exposure and development that will be hard to find anywhere else
About You
This is a relationship role that will also lean on your analytical thinking capability, and draw on our principles of betterment, creativity and quality. You will have a collaborative approach and curiosity to keep learning. Your passion for the value early career professionals can have on an organisation will be encouraged and supported. You will understand the importance of being a brand ambassador through every touch point of the clerk journey and be able to bring internal stakeholders on the journey too.
You will also need:
- Confidence and maturity to run and guide the Melbourne clerk intake, which comes from your prior few years’ experience in HR or professional services support role
- Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to influence across all levels
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do mindset
- A passion and commitment to innovation and Diversity & Inclusion
- Exceptional project management skills and enjoyment working in a timeline driven space
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoyment working in a high volume, fast paced role
- Current knowledge of trends and developments in early careers talent programs will be looked on favourably
