**About Us**:
The Security Standards Unit (SSU) monitors the minimum-security requirements of correctional locations and provides specialised advice relating to security, technology and risk in the correctional environment. The SSU is also responsible for the Planning and Development team and the Locksmith Services team.

**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has come up in the Security Standards Unit of Corrections Victoria for a self-motivated individual who enjoys performing a range of administrative functions.
The Administration Support Officer - Finance and Procurement supports the different areas of the unit in the delivery of projects and work outcomes. The role is varied and dynamic and involves managing the procurement and accounts tasks for the unit as well as assisting in record-keeping, development of approvals and other related paperwork and administrative functions integral to the continued functionality of the team.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Undertaking the accounts functions, including payables, receivables, reconciliations, journals, and data entry for the SSU, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding any finance and/or procurement concerns.
- Assisting with the development of policies, procedures and databases relating to this area of management, and participate on working parties and reference groups as required.
- Preparing and monitoring the procurement functions, maintaining accurate and up to date records ensuring adherence with relevant legislative and organisational requirements for both CV and Youth Justice Correctional Services operational functions.

**About You**:
This role would suit someone experienced in the procurement and finance space, an individual with excellent time management and task prioritisation skills, and happy to work independently within a close team environment.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in relation to the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated knowledge with Oracle or similar finance related system.
- Knowledge and experience of procurement and finance processes.
- An understanding of store and warehousing operations, including stock management, delivery / service requirements, and Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
