The **Forklift Operator/Warehouse Operative** reports to the Dispatch Manager working on the Day shift 6:45 am to 2:45 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday to Friday and some weekends.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Operate forklift to organize and load stock into trucks
- Check pallet labels : Quantity, expiring date, and store name are correct
- Monitor pallet amounts & ensure correct numbers
- Oversee that the packing area is clean at the end of the shift
- Ensure that picking slips are correctly completed
- Ensure housekeeping of the storage area is to standard
- overseeing the general operations of a warehouse and its staff.
- Handle the recording and maintaining of inventory, advising the imports received and items exported.
- Train new workers and ensure their performance is adequate.
- Implement stock rotation system
- Manage stock takes - lease with the kitchen team.
- Assist the packaging team to ensure their duties are fulfilled.
- Work with leadership team to maintain high standards of practice across the site.
- Valid Forklift License
- Experience working in a fast paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Good Verbal and Written Communication skills - to liaise effectively with the Dispatch and other departments
- Developed interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach working with cross functional teams
- Positive and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
- Be computer literate to undertake administrative tasks as required
