**The Role**
The EL1 Contracts and Resource Manager is accountable for managing Air Warfare Centre allocated resources, and reporting on spend analysis. They will; design and implement mitigation strategies for risks associated with contract and budget management activities, supplier performance and compliance to mandatory requirements; provide clear direction on contracts, panel arrangements, and arrange performance assessments and contract governance activities in accordance with extant policy; work with Air Warfare Centre stakeholders to develop and review complex contract management correspondence, including commercially sensitive reports, tender submissions, evaluations, and contract change proposals; and be responsible for managing stakeholder expectations, developing and communicating methodologies and practices to achieve effective outcomes.

The position will also ensure prioritisation of resources across the various budget lines in the Air Warfare Centre, with analysis of financial and budgetary requirements conducted to support FEG capabilities.

The Air Warfare Centre exists within Air Command and is critical to establishing the RAAF as a modern and fully integrated combat force that can deliver air and space power effects in the information age. The Air Warfare Centre is supported by an integrated workforce which includes Air Force, Army, Navy, Public Service and Defence Industry personnel.

As the position will be the central business and contract management position for the FEG, it will require in-depth business & financial management knowledge and the ability to manage expectations across a tiered military and APS structure. The ability to quickly develop a good understanding of the Air Warfare Centre Business Plan and Operating Model, and multiple administrative frameworks and processes is essential.
