**The Department**

**The Role**

The purpose of the role of Editor, SBS Voices is to oversee commissioning, editing and scheduling of article content in-line with SBS Purpose & Values, SBS Codes of Practice and Editorial Guidelines, and deadlines. The Editor has a major role in managing editorial for the SBS Emerging Writers’ Competition.

Reporting into the Managing Editors within our team this role will see you:

- _ Overseeing website and social media content_
- _ Managing creation of content supporting SBS programming and special projects and liaising with other SBS departments_
- _ Supporting the SBS Emerging Writers’ Competition by assisting with content, and managing entries. _

**About you**
- _ You will have excellent editorial judgement and experience in commissioning and editing articles_
- _ Experienced in managing social media, reaching audiences and moderating comments_
- _ Experienced in using a CMS _
- _Highly organised, a whiz at managing multiple projects _
- _Possessing strong attention to detail_
- _ A solid understanding of current conversations around social issues_
- _ A passion for elevating under-represented voices in Australian society and providing a platform for diverse storytelling _
