**The Role**

Reporting to the Senior Editor, Unit the Deputy Editor, Social Cohesion Unit would see you:

- Providing editorial leadership and exercise editorial judgement to ensure the appropriate selection and coverage of content
- Keeping across the news agenda to identify any potential stories
- Managing the production of bespoke multiplatform content for video, podcast, social media, and websites
- Managing and leading a team of direct reports and reviewing performance as needed to drive production efficiency and quality.

**About you**
- Experienced Journalist or experience in Australian media '“ Investigative, in-depth or verification reporting skills are desirable, but not necessary
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Demonstrated understanding of cross-platform journalism production processes
- Demonstrated experience in collaboration, teamwork, and time management

This role is being offered on a fixed term contract for 13 months, with a potential view to extension.
