The main focus of the Workshop Supervisor is to be responsible for providing the daily supervision and direction for workshop technicians and trades assistants. The Workshop Supervisor will ensure compliance with our safety systems and be the first point of contact for technical assistance for all workshop technicians.
- Manage and Lead a team of Workshop Technicians, Trades Assistants and Apprentices including being involved in performance reviews and disciplinary action if required.
- Responsible for ensuring all set policies and procedures are applied and adhered to.
- Coordinate and allocate service jobs to the workshop,
- WIP service job management, ensure all jobs are on track for quoted hours and time frames or corrective actions taken within appropriate time frames
- Increase workshop throughput to increase absorption rates, this can be achieved through efficiency gains in mid job management, 6S, Lean, continuous improvement and additional shifts
- Ensure all work is completed as per the IWRM and all work procedures as located on the GS share folder.
- Liaise with clients along with parts, service and management staff to ensure work is carried out on time
- Ensure all practical PDI/Retail job targets for the workshop are achieved.
- Responsible for providing superior customer service, building and developing relationships with the regions customer base
- Keep management team up to date with current market trends
- Responsible for raising quotes and posting workshop retail service jobs
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ management system
- Participate in toolbox talks, production and safety meetings
- Responsible for all workshop job quotes
- Oversees the yard & incoming machine management
- General ad-hoc duties as required
