An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced individual to deliver key projects associated with the planning and strategic leadership of key organisational objectives within North West Metro Region, Operational Support Division, Community Engagement.

**Your duties will include**:

- Provide advice to senior management, conduct complex research and analysis, preparing reports including recommendations and review and evaluate corporate policy.
- Coordinate, develop and deliver capability building resources and initiatives to support professionalism.
- Support the development of community engagement evaluation frameworks through coordination and analysis of central databases.
- Identify and develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide high level and quality policy advice.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Strong policy, analytical, project management and communications skills coupled with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in a wide range of project activities from initial assessment to finalisation including well developed research skills with the ability to identify emerging issues and trends.
- Understanding of and ability to communicate, engage and negotiate with external stakeholders including culturally diverse, linguistically diverse, and faith-based communities is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to provide advice to senior management on issues of policy, practice, and strategy.
- Highly developed conceptual and written communication skills with the ability to prepare high level reports, business case submissions and project plans.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) full time on-going VPS4 position available.
- Your usual place of work will be at the Victoria Police Centre located at 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement
- Any experience or tertiary qualifications in the fields of criminology, criminal justice or criminal intelligence are highly desirable.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve, and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
