We are seeking a diligent and proactive Collections Officer to join our client's team. The Collections Officer will be responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely payment from customers while maintaining positive relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payments.
- Updating customer account information and payment statuses accurately in the database.
- Monitoring payment arrangements and following up on missed payments promptly.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales and finance, to resolve issues and improve collection processes.
- Generating reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
- Adhering to company policies and legal requirements regarding debt collection practices and consumer rights.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in collections or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using collection software and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection is preferred.
