**About the role**

TAFE NSW Assessors play a critical role in supporting student success and maintaining the integrity of vocational education. Under the supervision of the Teacher-in-Charge or Head Teacher, Assessors conduct independent assessments and grading of student work, ensuring alignment with industry standards and training package requirements.

Assessors work collaboratively with WHS teaching staff and other industry professionals to uphold quality assurance practices, support student progression, and ensure assessments reflect current workplace practices and legislative requirements. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong WHS background who are passionate about education and workforce capability development.
- Note: This role does not teach or deliver training._

**About You**

To be successful in the role you will:

- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
- Demonstrate the ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
- Understand the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency
- Have the commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment and motivate and encourage students
- Have the ability to meet all essential requirements in the below position description.
