**What you'll be doing**

The District Fire Safety Training Officer is accountable for ensuring all Fire Safety and Emergency Response Training is designed and delivered in line with Statutory requirements.

The District Fire Safety Training Officer is responsible for the delivery of Fire Safety Training and monitoring fire safety systems and practices to ensure the ongoing fire safety readiness of each District.

**Talent Pool**

A National Police Check (criminal history record check) is a requirement for all new appointments to NSW Health and will be undertaken on preferred applicants, with the informed consent of the applicant.



This role is a **Category A **role. Preferred applicants will be reviewed for compliance and required to maintain compliance with the screening, assessment and vaccination requirements, relevant to your position, as outlined in NSW Health policy directive on Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.

Selection Criteria
- Fire Safety Officer Certificate or Certificate/s in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) and Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment; or relevant qualifications and/or experience
- At least 3 years employment as a Fire Safety Officer or suitable equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of fire safety and evacuation training.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, implementation, and evaluation of fire safety requirements.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements for Fire Safety in Health buildings, Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia as they pertain to fire safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Valid drivers’ licence.
