**Palliative Care Research Assistant**
- You will work with a growing and dynamic team exploring a diverse range of research topics relating to palliative care
- Our team is supportive, kind and will help you achieve your best
- You will be employed from The Royal Melbourne Hospital and have access to salary packaging, employee assistance programs and in addition work closely with colleagues across the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre institutions, such as Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
The focus of the Palliative Care Research Program is aimed at people experiencing serious illness and their families, and reducing the burden of morbidity and symptoms, to improve the care and outcomes for people with serious illness.
- This position is supported by Research Grants, and as such a key focus of this position is to support and coordinate delivery of a project called the PARTNER project, to implement a real-time system to montor patient-reported outcomes and measure the impact this has on symptoms, health care utiisation and satisfaction with care.
- The position will also have a role in supporting other research projects, so attendance and travel to other locations outside of the hospital may be required for participant recruitment and stakeholder engagement.
**Your new role**:
- Coordinate and effectively deliver the PARTNER project and meet agreed goals
- Support other research projects being developed and delivered across the service
**About you**:
- You have qualifications in psychology, social science, public health, nursing or related healthcare discipline, and/or substantial research experience with a collaborative working style
- You have experience in research in palliative care and/or oncology
- You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
