**The Role**
McIlwain are seeking a Project Administrator to join our dynamic team in the civil construction industry. As a Project Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our projects by managing contracts and legal compliance.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage the project’s subcontract/supplier administrative activities ensuring that all applicable processes and procedures are complied with.
- Prepare (and/or assist in) the identification, preparation, issue, review, recommendation, award, and closure of assigned subcontract/supplier contract packages of work with detailed input from the engineering and construction team.
- Ensure Subcontractor Progress Payment Certificates (PPC) are processed & released within the specified time limits of the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act (BCIPA).
- Ensure subcontractors comply with Bank Guarantees/Security Bonds requirements and maintain appropriate files.
- Control, manage and administer all subcontractor, supplier and consultancy variations and claims through to project close-out.
- Manage the final account and close out of contracts.
You will have the following key attributes:
- At least 1 year experience working in Project Administration or similar administration role in civil construction.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
