The primary function of the Program Manager is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behaviour support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioural and social/communication challenges.

The Program Manager leads each child’s therapy team and provides ongoing training and direct supervision to team members.

The Program Manager consults with and instructs team members regarding pro-active educational programming and behavioural supports; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborates with team members, related services providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate.

Program Managers are responsible for the following duties:

- Use appropriate assessment instruments to develop skills building programs that reflect identified behavioural objectives and other outcomes, and ensures treatment fidelity across Behaviour Technicians and Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Implement treatment plans, document contacts and observations, and use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategise continuous improvements.
- Seek creative options for ensuring the continuity and consistency of treatment and support services across settings for the lifespan of the client
- Provide training to, and clinical supervision of, Behaviour Technicians through observation, meetings, performance coaching and other methods.
- Provide consultation, training, modeling and assistance to team members as needed in strategies and methodologies for working with children on the autism spectrum and/or who have behavioural, adaptive, and/or social/communication challenges.
- Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients receiving behavioural interventions.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and complete assessments and reports as required
- Ensure that all treatment plans and programs comply with contract requirements, satisfy all relevant insurance certification and other expectations, and meet or exceed professional standards
- Maintain highly organised, consistent, thorough, and systematic record keeping practices
- Effectively co-ordinate with each family, administrative personnel and colleagues
- Develop strategies for the stability of quality services when clients experience transitions
- Demonstrate workplace behaviours that align with Aspire’s values and philosophy
- Other reasonable duties as directed

Essential Criteria:
This list is representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required to perform this role successfully:
1. Current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), OR significant progress toward meeting certification requirements

2. A Master's degree recognised by the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board (BACB)

3. A minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families

4. Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development. Experience developing positive behaviour support plans andprograms; experience teaching social interaction and play skills

5. Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behaviour analysis and discrete trial training; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and professionals; competence in analysing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioural programs, and monitoring progress

6. Maintain a status with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission as a “suitable” NDIS behaviour support practitioner

7. Must be able to work effectively as a team member, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications

8. Strong communication skills to work with a diverse team including excellent written and oral English.

9. Ability to problem-solve and assist the Clinical Director in decision-making, including during emergencies or when a supervisor is not onsite.

10. Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisition within established schedule and timelines.

11. Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with individuals, families, and natural supports.

12. Excellent customer service skills

13. Highly efficient with time, management, able to take initiative and work independently

14. Maintain a high level of organisation for file maintenance and record keeping

15. Enthusiasm, flexibility and a commitment to quality delivery of services

17. An acceptable Police Check

18. Hold a valid Working with Children Check or other relevant state children’s check

19. Completion of the NSW Department of Education mandatory reporting module or similar requirement in other states/territories.
