We have a newly created role available, to support our continued growth within our Sustainability Division at Perenti Corporate Services.

Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Health and Safety, the Principal - Health, Safety and Wellbeing, will play a vital role in supporting continual improvement in the sustainability performance of Perenti. The role will assist in the development and maintenance of health, safety and well-being related processes and initiatives as well as the analysis of data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. This is a unique opportunity, which offers the ability to have input into the areas of the workload you would like to focus on, combined with future career progression.

**Key accountabilities and role responsibilities will include**:

- Collaborate with the broader Corporate Sustainability team to deliver on agreed HSW objectives
- Leadership opportunities, with contribution to organisational systems and reporting/analytics
- Implement Group Standards and Procedures
- Develop Corporate management systems and plans
- Leading the development of reports and papers for the Group Executive and Board
- Timely analysis of data and the identification of HSW insights, making appropriate recommendations
- Participate in the global HSE Assurance program
- Provide effective HSW support to the Corporate Office and Divisions.

To succeed in this role, you will offer the following key skills and experience:

- Significant corporate office experience, supported by operational (site) knowledge and understanding; within a Health and Safety position
- Proven track record of successfully leading health, safety, and well-being programs at a corporate level
- Previous leadership experience
- 8+ years’ experience in a mining/contract services leadership role, preferably with some exposure to Africa or North America
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and areas of focus
- A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in health and safety, occupational hygiene, environment, engineering or a related field
- Relevant working knowledge of current legislation and management systems
- Experience in preparing and presenting data insights and reports for Board and Executive levels
- Guiding the development of HSE data systems, (e.g., occupational health and hygiene, risk, compliance
- Conducting and reporting on internal HSE assurance audits
- Experience in incident investigations
- Experience developing risk management processes and facilitating risk assessments
- Field engagement and coaching.

This a full-time, permanent opportunity, to be based in the Perth CBD with hybrid working arrangements. There will be some ad-hic site travel required for this role (with notice and flexibility).
