Due to an internal promotion, we have a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role available within our Perth Support office. The role involves the development of financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. The analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure financial goals are met and risks are managed efficiently.
**THE POSITION**
- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. Monitor performance against financial targets and analyse variances.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Reporting on key financial and non-financial metrics to Group will also be required.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive business strategy and operational efficiency.
- Assist with the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisation goals. Review and validate budget assumptions and outputs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial monthly accounts for overhead departments including recommending cost control measures to deliver efficiencies
- Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure financial practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Implement and monitor controls to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
**THE PERSON**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance analyst role
- Bachelor’s degree plus professional qualification/postgraduate studies in Finance
- Advanced excel, reporting and analysis skills essential
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and business partnering skills
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems
- Tableau or Power BI experience preferable
