What does the job look like?

As the National Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial models across our key customers in the beverage sector. You will analyse new business opportunities and optimize our key existing customer relationships. You will play a lead role in compiling the annual plan and evaluating commercial and financial performance against the plan each week.

Working closely with Commercial and Operational leaders, you will provide strategic advice and data-driven insights to enhance our ways of working and support the sustainability and profitability across the customer portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide financial modelling and analysis for new and existing customer business, including preparing business case models, generating cost analysis for tenders, and preparing financial models for business optimization and profitability.
- Prepare reports and analyses to showcase business performance and areas for improvement.
- Assist finance and operations teams through analysis and interpretation of weekly and monthly results.
- Lead and coach finance and operations teams in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to refine current processes to improve customer profitability.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging current processes and investigating new opportunities.
- Review all tender proposals for accuracy before submission.

Are you the one?

You are a commercial professional with experience in the Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport, or a similar field. You have an ability to optimize the financial and operational impact of key customer contracts and build strong long-term relationships with key internal and external partners. You are enthusiastic about data and creating models and analyses to enhance customer operations' performance.
- Degree qualification in Accounting & Finance, Business, Management, or a similar field.
- Commercial & Finance experience within Supply Chain, Transport, Logistics, or a similar sector.
- Ability to lead core activities in budgeting, KPI performance review, financial reporting, cost analysis, profitability analysis, financial modelling, and variance analysis within an operational environment.
- Knowledge of operations and the ability to navigate challenges related to workforce/operational optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities and experience working and leading diverse and highly skilled teams.
