**Executive Assistant to Commissioner**

**About the role**:
We have an opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join the Office of the Commissioner, working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.

The Executive Assistant supports the Commissioner in a range of capacities, including:

- Providing high-level executive support to the Commissioner and his office, including analysing, prioritising and actioning requests.
- Managing urgent and sensitive matters with discretion and respect.
- Managing the Commissioner’s diary, avoiding scheduling conflicts, arranging meetings and ensuring all necessary paperwork is provided to brief the Commissioner.
- Coordinating and preparing correspondence on behalf of the Commissioner and ensuring matters are dealt with in a timely and confidential manner.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including RFS volunteers, Executive, staff, Ministers and other agencies and organisations.
- Managing and coordinating the efficient and effective operation of executive administrative systems to ensure the smooth running of the Commissioner’s office.

**About you**:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, well organised and motivated team player who is able to anticipate and meet the Commissioner’s requirements day-to-day.

You will also have:

- Strong communication abilities, with a particular emphasis on attention to detail.
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Confidence in your ability to represent the Commissioner and his office without the need for constant supervision and guidance.
- A Diploma or other qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent expertise.
- Awareness of Parliamentary and Government processes.
