**MACA Civil** are seeking an experienced
** Supervisor** to join one of our project teams. We are delivering civil works for valued clients in Hamilton and Caroline Springs.

**Responsibilities will include**:
- Directing the hour by hour and day by day activities of the workforce immediately under his control.
- Leading by example and drive ‘Working Safely’ ethos across your team.
- Providing visible leadership in driving positive health and safety behaviours consistent with MACA HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards.
- Taking full accountability for the effective management and prompt return to work for injured workers.
- Demonstrating and encouraging a continuous improvement culture, ensuring department systems and process are quality controlled to a high standard.
- Ensuring that all work activities are conducted and completed strictly in accordance with contract / project OH&S Management Plans, statutory OH&S rules, regulations, and requirements and to industry and QA standards as determined by specifications, standards, and statutory requirements.
- Ensuring personnel within their area of responsibility and control are capable, trained, and qualified to undertake the tasks they are engaged to complete. Where gaps in worker capability or experience exists when engaged to undertake a task, the Supervisor will ensure appropriate training or removal of the worker is undertaken before being engaged to complete a task or work activity.
- Ensuring that all technical, engineering, and specified aspects of the work activity or task as described in the contract documents is fully understood prior to commencement of works.
- Ensuring prior to the commencement of any task (and reviewed daily for prolonged tasks) a risk review in the form of a JSA will be conducted by the work team under their immediate control.
- Actively participating and contributing to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.
- Commitment, respect and compliance to the MACA safety, health, and environment policies, ‘zero harm’ objective, MACA’s health and safety initiatives, fitness for work policy and MACA’s vision and core values.
- Workforces comply with the project specific drafted Safety Management Plan, client safety management plans and statutory rules and regulations.
- Complies with advice, directions and guidance provided by superiors and the contract safety coordinator.
- Workforces are competent to undertake tasks at hand and where applicable VOC confirmed.
- Meets the contract or project delivery schedules efficiently and without compromise of delivery standards.
- Maintains a professional and positive relationship with clients’ representatives.
- Ensuring the assets of the organisation are adequately safeguarded and maintained.
- Ensures the image of all personnel and equipment is of a high presentable standard.
- Demonstrated implementation and support of the vision and core values of MACA.
- Deliver on personal objectives within a set of agreed KPI’s and report on team performance targets consistent with the overall departmental plan.
- Adhere to approved delegation of authority for this position.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports in a timely manner as requested.
**We are looking for**:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role with Vic Roads experience.
- Sound knowledge of plant and equipment best practice and operational performance.
- A strong commitment to safety and safe work practises.
- Ability to plan and schedule activities and resources.
- A willingness to work away and travel depending on project location.
- Current drivers’ licence.
- Intermediate computer skills.
