Design & Project Assistant

Casual role - 4 days a week,moving to 5 days a week - 6 months

It’s that time of year again — the sleigh bells are starting to ring, and we’re ramping up for a dazzling season of decorating We’re on the hunt for a talented, enthusiastic and can-do **Design & Production Assistant** to jump on board _right now_ and sleigh the lead-up to Christmas 2025 with us.

We’re Melbourne’s go-to team for magical commercial Christmas displays, transforming shopping centres, CBD buildings, showrooms and streetscapes into magical experiences. Think giant Christmas trees, candy canes and bauble arches... and that's just the start

Applications are open to all who are eligible to work within Australia for the next 6 months and can attend our warehouse in Coburg north daily.

**The role and what you will be doing**:
The assistant role is supporting our Sales and Design team as we prepare and deliver large-scale Christmas display for shopping centres, CBD tenancies, and councils across Melbourne. Your days will be filled with:

- Helping manage our print tasks with our external printer partner,
- Providing design support - from concepts, mockups and technical drawings to gorgeous graphics and print files
- Sourcing products and design elements with a keen eye for festive flair)
- Pulling together final project files ready for installation
- Assisting with project planning and resource scheduling
- Helping manage and plan our contractors and equipment suppliers
- Coordinating vendor inductions and site prep
- Joining in on the occasional on-site install and shopping trips around Melbourne

**You’ll shine in this role if you**:

- Are experienced or have a background in project coordination or event planning
- Are comfortable juggling tasks in a fast-paced, creative environments, thinking ahead to what’s next
- Can work independently and keep things moving — with a festive spirit
- Can communicate in both written and in person / phone with the ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and appropriately to others.
- Are available to start right away and commit through to **mid-December**

**Bonus sparkle if you**:

- Know your way around Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Have worked with Work flows, project co-ordination and project planning tools.
- Familiar with 3D rendering tools such as sketchup
- Have a driver’s license (so you can hit the road with us for sourcing missions)
- Have worked in theatre, events, styling, set design, or production before

Pay: $30.43 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
