It’s about going the extra mile, in the air and on the ground, to create authentic experiences that put our guests firmly at the heart of everything we do. **What you’ll be doing**: As the Commercial Manager for Next Gen Retailing you will plan, direct and manage the sales relationships with Virgin Australia NDC partners (Implementers and Sellers). You will be responsible for designing, and the delivery of the NDC commercial strategy. You will focus on promoting revenue growth and reducing cost of service through developing and optimising partner integrations with a focus on the target markets and industry trade partner’s needs. This will include but not be limited to; - Developing, negotiating, implementing, and management of the commercial agreement/s between Virgin Australia and NDC Partners - Engaging with appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure the agreements meet all finance, legal tax and insurance obligations - Business planning and day-to-day account management for each NDC Partner - Establishing and monitoring of revenues and costs - Ensuring that we capitalise on revenue opportunities around ancillaries, bundles and content offers - Ensuring that Virgin Australia is well represented in all sales and marketing activity with the NDC Partners; - Ensuring that the requirements of the NDC Partner are understood by internal parties and managed accordingly - Having strong commercial relationships with all key decision makers and influencers within the NDC Partners. - Accountable for ensuring the commercial and customer objectives for the product experience are defined and met via the NDC channel. **Who we’re looking for**: You will have significant experience in implementing and managing complex Global Sales Agreements >$200m. You have strong knowledge and understanding of airline distribution and the retailing techniques and will be well versed in NDC merchandising ecosystem to enhance trade partner, aggregators, and travel agency adoption. You will have highly developed stakeholder management skills with ability to interact at all levels of a complex organisation as well as with external stakeholders. You will have a data driven approach using analytics to identify opportunities to improve capabilities.
