An exciting opportunity to join NAB’s Data Modelling Group where you will be leading a team of 5-6 Data Modellers as they design and document how enterprise data is structured and managed within NAB. The data modelling team are the owners of the Enterprise Data Modelling capability which includes:

- **Creation of the NAB Enterprise Logical Data Model**:

- **Business Ownership of the Erwin suite of data modelling tools**:

- **Creation of Principles, Standards and Guidelines for data modelling**

In this **Engineering Manager** role you will be doubling down on customer obsession by keeping it simple.

**Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to take ownership of**:

- Undertaking data modelling, mapping and related activities
- Leading and coordinating resources required to implement and deliver strategic programs of work
- Supporting enterprise conformance production
- Developing and implementing data modelling principles and processes
- Developing and implementing data asset governance processes, ensuring adherence to standards
- Providing leadership to project and engineering teams on matters of modelling and data architecture
- Providing advice to internal data governance and architecture forum.
- Providing consultancy and education to the enterprise in relation to data conformance and modelling.

**We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need**:

- Experience in Data Modelling, its associated practices, processes and knowledge along with some experience leading a team of Data Modellers
- Demonstrated record of building trusted relationships with business partners and key stakeholders
- Experience in large enterprises and financial services firms
- Proficiency and experience with Erwin, IBM or FSDM data models
- Results driven, analytical and creative thinking and problem solving
- A calm demeanour in the face of adversity, with a resilience to setbacks
- Prior experience working in an agile squad environment
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in information systems, mathematics, science or engineering; a post graduate qualification is also a nice to have
- Experience with Databricks is a nice to have.
