Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled
Data Modeler
to join data and analytics team within the airline industry. The ideal candidate will design and maintain data models that support operational efficiency, customer experience, revenue management, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data structures align with aviation business processes and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop
    conceptual, logical, and physical data models
    for airline-specific domains such as
    flight operations, passenger services, loyalty programs, and revenue management
    .
  • Collaborate with
    data architects, business analysts, and IT teams
    to translate aviation business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure data models support
    real-time analytics, reporting, and decision-making
    across departments like operations, customer service, and finance.
  • Maintain and optimize existing data models to support
    flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, baggage tracking, and customer engagement
    .
  • Document data models and metadata using tools like
    Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similar
    .
  • Support
    ETL development, data warehousing, and integration
    with airline systems such as
    Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
    .
  • Conduct
    data profiling and quality checks
    to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Ensure compliance with
    aviation data standards, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and industry best practices
    .

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
    .
  • Proven experience in
    data modeling
    within complex, high-volume environments—preferably in the
    transportation or airline sector
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    SQL, relational and dimensional modeling
    , and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
  • Experience with
    data modeling tools
    such as Erwin, IBM InfoSphere, or similar.
  • Familiarity with
    aviation systems and data flows
    , including flight schedules, passenger manifests, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with
    cloud platforms
    (e.g., AWS, Azure) and
    big data technologies
    .
  • Exposure to
    real-time data streaming
    and
    event-driven architectures
    .
  • Certification in
    data modeling, data architecture, or aviation IT systems
    is a plus.
