Leasing Manager Brisbane, West End

**The Opportunity**:
Overseeing the property portfolio for household name fitness brands such as Goodlife Health Cubs, Fitness First and Zap Fitness 24-7, the Leasing Manager role will be a key member of the Property and Procurement team and provide a critical role in supporting portfolio and lease management across Fitness & Lifestyle Group's (FLG) 385 global health clubs. The role will lead FLG's management of our portfolio of leases, supporting the effective management of Lessee and Lessor lease obligations, lease renewals, market rent reviews, and commercial negotiations for leases in the execution of network optimisation strategies.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in a commercial property team, specialising in lease management.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Responsible for both Lease and Sublease negotiations across a national portfolio of Health Club facilities, ensuring optimum commercial terms are achieved. 
- Support the market review process, including assessment of landlord proposals, compiling comparison data, assessment of prospects of market review, preparation of submissions to landlords
- Manage a portfolio of subleases, look for opportunities to maximise use of space in sites and increase revenue or network optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with all lease commitments and obligations, in accordance with relevant state and federal legislation.
- Exercise strong budget management for the property portfolio, including budgetary reporting
- Manage the centralised Lease register (Lease Eagle)

**To be successful in this role you will need**:
Essential
- Previous experience in commercial property management and/or commercial leasing
- Proven experience and ability to conduct market research and reviews.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial lease terminology and applicable legislation across all states and territories
- Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
- Undergraduate qualifications in Real Estate, Property Economics or similar

Desirable
- Experience in lease management for a multi-site retail organisation
