**How will I help?**

This role sits within the Targeted Merchant Growth Squad within the Merchants Village. This team is accountable for driving growth in the Merchant Acquiring portfolio from small to enterprise merchants. The team is responsible for being the conduit between product and customer facing teams, developing out targeted industry verticals solutions to target growth, and identifying key capabilities required to drive growth.

You will play a critical role in contributing to future payment designs and be accountable for meeting profitability measurements in a continually evolving market. You would be required to perform both as a sales function as well as merchant product manager. Driving Westpac sales aspirations, liaising with bankers and product manager to align appropriate solutions for new to bank prospects. Confident and driven you will be required to pitch to Australia's largest corporates and state governments on Westpac's suite of merchant solutions.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Own significant projects to implement complex and bespoke merchant solutions to Westpac's largest merchant customers.
- Identify industry verticals with potential to acquire significant market share.
- You will be required to build and nurture influential partnerships with key stakeholders in the business. Act as a conduit between the sales, product, and project teams in support of the development of bespoke merchant solutions for our enterprise clients.
- Provide technical post-sales support to our enterprise clients post implementation in partnership with the institutional client facing team.
- Lead the project team as the Product Owner to deliver customised, complex requirements for a large enterprise merchant including being the point person for BAU enquirers and escalations for the client.

**What do I need?**
- Extensive experience in sales, relationship management or product management.
- Experience in banking/finance from an institutional/commercial banking background.
- Knowledge of agile methodology to deliver complex merchant solutions.
- Demonstrable current experience in payments, consulting (relevant business areas), or corporate sales.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape for merchant payments.
- Technical knowledge of 3DS, tokenisation, PCI/DSS requirements would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication written and verbal.
- Growth mindset, with strong commerciality.
