**Executive Manager - Direct Lending**

**About the role**:
The EM Direct Lending holds responsibility for driving Direct Lending performance across our Retail Banking function, while leading the Direct Lending strategy and operations related initiatives.

The role is responsible for enabling a High-Performance Direct Lending channel in Suncorp Bank, working with key stakeholders across the value chain to design and deliver on a clear, comprehensive channel strategy.

Whilst ensuring the Direct Lending strategy gains focus and traction, the role will also evolve the Direct Lending proposition to drive enhanced customer and performance outcomes, as well as manage effective delivery of large-scale Lending initiatives and change across the Retail Banking function.

The EM Direct Lending is accountable for providing timely, efficient, and accurate support and advice to the Executive General Manager and other senior stakeholders in relation to the Direct Lending program of work including - Direct lending channel performance, operational support, continuous improvement, customer experience, employee experience and competitor activity.

**More specifically, you will**:

- Act as the key contact point within Suncorp Bank for the Direct Lending channel
- Prepare the Direct Lending Channel strategy and operational plans, including Workforce planning
- Design, lead and drive the Direct Lending strategy and program of work to support performance and drive strong customer outcomes, adhering to the Bank’s risk and quality management policies and standards
- Design delivery and on-going management of the Direct Lending Channel's performance management framework, including:

- Setting channel KPIs
- Setting and monitoring key reporting across the Direct Lending value chain
- identifying & acting on performance and process improvement opportunities
- Ownership and on-going management of a clear and consistent operating model and sales framework for the Direct Lending Channel
- Drive the development of propositions and marketing plans that support the Direct Lending Channel
- Monitor and analyse growth, customer sentiment, sales, service, credit quality, revenue, costs,

and ROE results for the Direct Lending business
- Engage collaboratively with peers & stakeholders in the Retail Banking, Home Lending and broader Suncorp Bank team, to develop, support and implement product strategies and initiatives that position relevant products for sustainable growth in the short and medium and long term
- Contribute to the strategic thinking and direction of the Retail Banking team
- Partner with key stakeholders to design and implement new systems, policies, process, and services to meet Suncorp Bank growth, risk and productivity objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and proactively across complex programs and projects, ensuring customer, risk and regulatory requirements are met and adhered to

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, banking and/or finance
- 10+ years’ experience in banking or financial services with a strong focus on customer service, risk management, operations and process management, cultural change, and leadership
- Demonstrated experience in driving engagement and results across a Lending value chain
