**Job Title: Product Development Manager**

**Location: Bayswater North, VIC**

**Reports to: Engineering Manager**

Our Client, a global leader in innovation and manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager with an engineering focus to join their growing team. This role will play a vital part in designing, developing, and deploying new products and services to their customers while actively supporting current products throughout their product lifecycle.

**Position Purpose**:
As part of this role, the Product Development Manager will provide guidance and mentoring to our engineering staff, refining the Product Development craft and managing stakeholder relationships.

**Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To**:

- Overseeing global business processes and influencing engineering resources in their branches through process, systems use, and 'dotted-line' reporting structures.
- Managing a diverse and multi-skilled team _(up to 40 people)_ to achieve departmental outcomes, driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer service across Product Development.
- Participating in strategic planning and execution for the Global Engineering function, at a divisional level.
- Ensuring design concepts are peer-reviewed and approved by Technical Managers.
- Managing the Product Development pipeline to ensure new projects are properly scoped and planned.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification and Proven technical excellence in specific engineering discipline (Mechanical; Mechatronic), exhibiting a comprehensive breadth of knowledge in multiple areas of that engineering discipline including design.
- Previous expereince in simialr position 10+ years Hands on Experince
- Demonstrated technical competence in non-specialist engineering disciplines.
- Proven financial, business and strategic acumen.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication that enables influence and inspiration, as well as clear and concise reporting.

- Stong Engineering Background

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and has direct reports including Team Leaders; Mechanical, Robotics, Systems, Applications, Software Project Managers.
