The Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit (Fines Unit) is a business unit of the DTF and is responsible for the effective collection, resolution and enforcement of overdue fines and other debts owed to the state to assist in meeting the overall DTF strategic goals and objectives.

**About the opportunity**:
Reporting to the Chief Recovery Officer (CRO), the Finance and Planning Lead will effectively communicate financial insights and drive performance across all functions supporting the CRO and leadership team. In this senior leadership role, you will influence and shape the financial strategy for the Fines Unit.
As the Finance & Planning Lead, you will oversee budget management, financial reporting, and lead a team of finance officers handling daily transactions and reconciliations under strict deadlines. Responsibilities include scoping and reviewing cost-saving options, preparing information for funding bi-laterals and Cabinet submissions, analysing Fines Unit expenditure, and overseeing strategic financial reporting.
Working closely with the CRO and leadership team, you will help plan current and future state investment plans to support our program of work, monitor and track ROI, and implement forecasting OPEX financial plans to ensure we meet targets and achieve our goals.
