We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Officer to join the Road Services department at our Depot location in Maroubra.

In this position, you will manage the planning, project management and delivery of road restoration works. You will implement best practice project management systems and processes and ensure assigned restoration are delivered within budgeted year.

**What you will bring**
- Demonstrated experience and or/ qualifications
- Sound knowledge of restoration processes, public utility procedures and road pavement rehabilitation practices.
- Civil contractor management
- Computer skills including asset management and GIS software
- Excellent communication skills
- A current Class C driver’s licence
- A current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card

**Things you will do**
- Coordinate and administer the restoration of Council’s road reserve assets to the standard of quality, safety and efficiency required by the community.
- Schedule and issue work in accordance with Council’s standards and policies.
- Undertake inspection, monitoring and reporting to ensure restoration works are delivered as per Council Standard and within budget
- Monitor and undertake corrective action as required to ensure standards are met and to minimise disruptions to residents and traffic.
- Ensure all Public Utility Restorations and Road Openings are managed and repaired to standard and within adopted timeframes.
- Build positive and proactive working relationships with utility providers
- Manage contract services used to deliver works including Workplace Health and Safety and Risk Management of contractors work on road reserves.
- Manage Council’s Road Restoration Systems including maintaining and enhancing restorations systems and databases
- Work collaboratively with Road Services team to deliver our asset maintenance program
- Resolve requests for street lighting replacement upgrade and maintenance***
