**Our Opportunity**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced **Maintenance Manager** to join our _Industrial team in Clarence Gardens SA_. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a leading role in the strategy and day to day activity of maintenance and project work across site to ensure timely delivery of quality product to schedule and specification with a strong focus on Safety and Quality.

Through your effective leadership you will implement continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of workplace safety, legislative and regulatory requirements, company policies, GMP, expenditure and people management (employees and contractors). An integral part of this role will be maintaining the preventative maintenance and continuous improvement systems and procedures to reduce plant downtime and increase line efficiencies.

Your strong communication and conflict resolution skills will see you through this challenging role. You will have highly developed organisational and time management skills as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and implement business improvement opportunities.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Drive improvement in line performance across the plant by effective use of maintenance resources
- Ensuring plant equipment and line efficiencies are maintained to the level acceptable to the business;
- Implement SAP Preventative Maintenance Programs;
- Monitor the efficiencies of the Preventative Maintenance and Condition Monitoring programs;
- Actively promote the reduction of all waste and energy usage on site
- Minimize maintenance costs and maintain machine and line efficiencies
- Drive change for continuous improvement and monitor progress while recommending and implementing operating plans, budgets and capital within budget guidelines:

- Ensuring the maintenance operation performs within the budgetary guidelines and that the Business Plan objectives are achieved;
- Coach and manage your team of direct reports to achieve quality, compliance, safety and maintenance requirements.
- Responsible for the effective management of environmental programs ensuring compliance to Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained. This includes resolving all issues as contained in Housekeeping audits, FPA audits, PMO audits, Process Observations and any other GMP audit which is conducted.
- Promote and participate in the Safety program and develop a proactive safety culture

**About You**
- Experience in the dairy industry or liquid filling with solid food FMCG industry knowledge;
- Engineering Degree or Trade qualification (preferably Fitting or Electrical) essential;
- Sound influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate people;
- Have experience establishing performance standards and KPIs for all direct reports.
- Have knowledge on performance management and career plan development
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills;
- Superior analytical and problem solving ability;
- Excellent project management;
- Sound ability to effectively manage costs;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement improvement initiatives;
- Negotiation and change management skills;
- Experience and knowledge with industry compliance requirements;
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and OHS is essential;
- Demonstrated experience in championing best practice.
