Great opportunity to make your mark in this newly created role - National Retail Excellence Lead, Independent Brands Australia (IBA) Work with well known and successful brands such as Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O, Porters and IGA Liquor Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement shopper focused retail strategies and deliver key retail strategies through executional excellence, creating an unrivalled shopping experience for the consumer

What you’ll do

Collaborate with the team to develop the retail ‘store of the future’, coolroom design, retail POS and merchandising programs for all IBA banner groups

Own the Reward Programs, driving member retention and executional standards across our member network inclusive of ROTY, 5 Star and Business Development Manager (BDM) of the Year Awards

Drive improvement in the IBA network by developing and maintaining consistently high operational standards by working with retailers, whilst providing guidance to a team of BDMs

Own the operating standards including the BDM tool kit etc, keeping up to date with relevant marketing information

Manage and evolve the Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) Training Academy

Lead and coordinate liquor license opportunities by working with the Property and State Management teams to identify and secure new/existing sites for IBA

Utilise shopper insights and category data to develop and implement Shopper-focused retail strategies, programs and in-store display solutions across all categories

Lead a team with two direct reports as well as provide coaching and mentoring to the IBA BDMs and the Retail Operations teams, including owned stores.

What you’ll bring

Minimum 10 years retail industry experience, preferably in FMCG

Category Management experience is essential

Experience with process improvement and change initiatives

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to deliver quality and on time

Significant experience in leadership roles, people management and coaching to drive a brilliant work environment and collaborative team culture

High level negotiation skills, strong communication, presentation and influencing skills

Commercial and analytical capability.
