Safety Advisor on an 8:6 roster working in the Pilbara region
**Your new company**
You will be working for one of Australia’s largest owner-operator Iron Ore businesses with integrated mine, rail, and port operations.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent, you’ll add value by enabling Health & Safety, supporting line management to implement and improve safety processes and practices that meet organisational safety objectives. You will be responsible for liaising and building effective relationships with the workforce to oversee and educate on health, safety, and environmental matters, developing a strong culture on site. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental activities, and contractor compliance on site Projects.
- Mobilisation of Contractors - review HSE plans, SWMS and HSE management system procedures for the project.
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, field observations and HSEQ inspections. and report findings.
- Review Contractor incident investigation, reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of OHS & Environmental regulations and compliance including ISO 45001, ISO:14001, ISO:9001 standards.
- Identify and suggest opportunities to improve existing work, operations, documentation, and processes.
- Provide thought and evidence-based advice to Op's, Superintendents, Supervisors, and the workforce
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations to enable operations to work safely and effectively
- Facilitate incident investigations
- Provide data driven safety performance reports and insights
- Facilitate the development and delivery of safety training
- Engage and coach in physical and psychosocial risk reduction

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Qualifications in H&S or Risk Management
- Experience working FIFO in the resources
- Experience as a Safety Advisor involving high risk work
- Current full West Australian "C" class drivers licence
- Ability to pass a strict pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Ability to provide 2x references cover past 12 months of employment
