**The Role**
The Army Headquarters Freedom of Information (FOI) Manager is responsible for leading a small team to review and process all FOI requests allocated to Army.

Key roles will include:

- Liaising with Defence FOI to determine the appropriate scope and tasking of requests.
- Managing a small and diverse team.
- Manage and coordinate requests for documents sought by subpoenas.
- Manage administrative and business support activities of the team.
- Accountable to perform complex and time-sensitive procedural, operation, administrative support activities that support the delivery of FOI outcomes within Defence.

**About our Team**
The Army FOI team is a small, focused group working closely with other members of the Strategic and Sensitive Issues Management Directorate. While the broader team is predominantly military personnel, the FOI team currently consists of civilian personnel.

The Army FOI team contributes to the whole of Defence response to Freedom of Information requests and subpoenas.
