**The role**:
The People & Culture Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and operational expertise to the Senior Management Team (SMT) on all people and culture-related matters.
As a true generalist, the purpose of this position is to administer and coordinate the full range of people & culture functions, including employee relations, performance and learning, culture enhancement, workforce planning, employee attraction and engagement and reward and recognition.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement key people & culture strategic initiatives and sound workplace strategies
- Support people & culture activities, such as internal communications, staff engagement events, and tailored cultural initiatives
- Represent the company at professional industry events and forums to collaborate and share information
- Design and lead initiatives to maximise employee motivation and engagement
- Drive the recruitment process and coordinate employment processes such as employment contract development, employment checks, and salary packaging options
- Support the Staff Performance and Development Program cycle and establish a learning and development framework
- Enhance the reward and recognition program to motivate and recognise staff
- Provide confidential advice to the SMT on employee relations and work health & safety legislation and ensure compliance with Fair Work and other relevant legislation
**Essential criteria**:
- Extensive experience in a generalist people & culture role
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven experience in employee relations and change management
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- You must be vaccinated against COVID and be willing to undergo a Criminal History Check
- Experience working in a NFP environment will be highly regarded, as will AHRI membership.
