Women & Girls Participation Officer - Country Wa

The Women & Girls Participation Officer - Country role is primarily responsible for attracting and retaining girls (ages 5-12s) and families from all backgrounds to inspire a lifelong love of cricket. This role is currently offered on a full-time two year fixed term.

**About the role and Key Responsibilities**
- Develop _All Girls Can _social program, that increases girls’ participation in Country WA.
- Introduce cricket to young girls through a discovery approach. The soft ball format is fun and engaging, developing skills and building confidence in a non-threatening environment with friends.
- Using data analysis to identify program locations with no participation and intersectional disadvantage.
- Develop programs that engage young girls from targeted country regions with high Indigenous populations and low socio-economic demographics.
- Develop programs that engage young girls with participation and intersectional disadvantages in Country WA.
- Build a holistic and supportive participation framework. Each initiative is uniquely tailored for women and girls.
- Provide leadership and human resource management to casual staff and support the Country WA Field Force team.
- Monitor effective use of resources and manage expenditure against budgets.
- Undertake other associated duties consistent with the standing and responsibilities of the position.
- Reporting and monitoring participation data.
- Targeted promotional and marketing campaign to address the low participation rates and focus on new formats in low socio-economic, rural and remote country WA.
- Investigate fit-for-purpose equipment for women and girls to foster positive experiences through quality participation.
- Develop a training and development plan that caters and complements to the social format and modification for new coaches and umpires. (Complimentary to the Coaching Stream).
- Coordinate Gala Days for an end of season program in each Country region.
- Support the integration of Social Cricket - In particular programs targeting women and girls such as Sunset Scorchers.

**A great fit for this role looks like**
- Tertiary qualifications in Education and/or Sport Management desirable.
- Strong Background in community engagement, sports development and program management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery skills.
- Experience working in grassroots sports or community organisations, with a particular focus on increasing participation and fostering inclusive environments.
- Ability to drive, plan and implement strategic objectives.
- A current and valid Working with Children Card.
- A ‘C’ class driver’s licence with own reliable transport.
- Experience in leading initiatives that drive participation.
- Experience in data analysis that identify participation gaps and a demonstrated ability to create tailored programs for diverse groups.
