Participation & Clubs Officer

Are you passionate about growing the game of cricket and making a real impact in your community? We’re looking for an energetic and community-minded individual to help shape the future of cricket in Kalgoorlie

As our part time **Participation & Clubs Officer**, you’ll be at the heart of promoting and managing cricket across the region. From driving exciting school-based programs to helping kids transition into community Cricket Blast and junior cricket, you’ll play a key role in creating unforgettable cricket experiences.

This is a new part time, 3 day a week role, for a fixed term of 8 months.

**How you’ll make an impact**
- Design and implement an annual school engagement strategy tailored to Kalgoorlie’s community.
- Drive the delivery of national school programs like the Big Bash Schools Challenge, HPE Program, Sporting Schools, and Cricket Blast School Cups.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with local schools, ambassadors, and education networks to foster cricket participation.
- Keep all school and contact data up to date in the CRM system, ensuring accurate records and communication history.
- Deliver cricket-focused development sessions to school ambassadors, equipping them with the tools to inspire young cricketers.
- Assist with school holiday programs and post-MBBL/WBBL activities, including Cricket Blast and girls’ competitions.
- Collaborate with Kalgoorlie Cricket Associations and Clubs to strengthen the Junior Cricket Pathway, with a special focus on Cricket Blast for boys and girls.
- Ensure Cricket Blast volunteers are well-trained and accredited to deliver high-quality cricket experiences.
- Provide hands-on support to local clubs to help them grow, thrive, and operate sustainably.
- Work closely with clubs to identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring cricket runs smoothly across the region.

**A great fit for this role looks like**
- Tertiary qualifications in Education and/or Sport Management desirable, but not essential.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery skills
- Strong management, influencing and relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to connect with children in a positive, respectful, and age-appropriate manner.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and make informed decisions independently.
- Working with Children Card - Current
- ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
- Experience working in grassroots sports or community organisations, with a particular focus on increasing participation and fostering inclusive environments (desirable)
